The best time to visit Uganda and Rwanda is during the dry seasons, which are from June to August and December to February. These months offer the best conditions for gorilla trekking and other wildlife experiences.

The currency used in Uganda is the Ugandan Shilling (UGX), while the currency used in Rwanda is the Rwandan Franc (RWF). It's advisable to carry some cash in local currency for small purchases, as credit cards may not be accepted everywhere.

It is recommended to pack lightweight and breathable clothing, a rain jacket, sturdy hiking boots, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. Don't forget your camera and binoculars for wildlife viewing!

To travel to Uganda and Rwanda, you will need a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining. Additionally, you will need a visa for both countries. Uganda offers visas on arrival for most nationalities, but it's advisable to check the specific requirements based on your nationality. Rwanda also offers visas on arrival, but it's recommended to obtain an e-visa in advance to expedite the process.  For citizens of countries in  the East African Community, an valid national identification is acceptable.
